How to Improve SEO for Book Reviews

Bumblings Blog Tips are weekly-ish ways to improve your blogging – from planning to design and social media. SEO is quite a fickle beast. I’ve heard a lot of book bloggers mention that they don’t understand how it works, or the abundant keyword stuffing in their reviews proves that they don’t. To-Do List: August Write On Review-a-Thon

Despite things being crazy and working on a million projects right now, I’m pretty on top of my review schedule. That being said, there’s always that NetGalley backlog of books that came out awhile ago. And non-ARCs I’ve read. And audiobooks I’ve listened to. See? Always more to be done. I’m going to start early as usual, but it’s going to be a pretty busy week so I don’t know how much I’ll get done. And if this weekend is nice, no promises I’ll want to stay indoors. But hey, I’m gonna try. My August Write On Review-a-Thon To-Do List Sustained by […]

Bumblings Blog Tips are weekly-ish ways to improve your blogging – from planning to design and social media. There are a lot of discussions happening in the book community about honesty in book blogging. And I think that’s a really great thing. Some book bloggers clearly cow-tow to authors, filling their reviews with flowery but generic praise that can be copy and pasted to apply to any book. Some book reviews are filled with more fangirling over the author than discussing the book itself. And some people are more subtle about it, maybe not even doing it on purpose, but […]

9 Ways to Write More Creative Book Reviews

Read on for a free download of 10 blog post ideas for book bloggers! I have a confession to make: I don’t read many book reviews. I know, that’s a weird thing for a book blogger to say. And for me, the way to do that is by trying to write reviews that stand out. Do I accomplish that? I don’t know; you tell me. At […]

The Weekly Write-Up: MailChimp Crazy & Bloggiesta

The Weekly Write-Up is where I talk about what’s gone on in the past 168 hours, both on the blog and off. Hey everyone! I hope you had a great week. I don’t know if I’m still struggling to get back into non-vacation mode, or if it’s just the weather and winter blues, but I have been struggling hardcore lately. Going to bed super early, still waking up with only 5 minutes to get ready for work, not motivated to do much… It sucks. I might be blogging less until I can shake this. I don’t know. Jump to: It’s […]
