Review: I liked Ryan. I liked the little small town (I always do!). I liked the wine stuff. I liked the group of friends. I liked a lot of the plot. But I did not like Margaret. Not one bit. It always sucks when you don’t like the character who’s telling the story. You’re seeing things through their eyes, so it’s hard to keep the rest of the book detached from them. And boy, did I hate seeing things through Margaret’s eyes. For most of the book, she hated everything. And if she didn’t have something readily available to hate, she actively […]

The blurb seemed interesting, and for some reason I love when characters are P.I.s, so I requested it. It definitely wasn’t bad. I feel like my 3-star reviews are always books that other people would really like. It was just kind of blah for me. Not a lot of humor, not a lot of romance. Those are my two favorite things. There was stuff that was […]

Review: Tell Me You Love Me by Julie Prestsater

Review: Recommended for: Any woman who’s read and loved Bridget Jones’ Diary and other books that are equally sexy and funny, any woman who’s been with a man who ever made her feel less than gorgeous and would imagine how good it would feel to tell him off. So regular readers know how I feel about romance books without sex. If there’s no sex (or it doesn’t happen til the end or whatever), and you still find yourself panting and turned on and basically making a horny fool out of yourself, you, my friend, have found yourself an excellent romance author.
