About Zack:

Rising star Zack Grantham has been stuck in a downward spiral of grief ever since the car accident that left him a single dad and put his career on hold. Back on the road with the Carolina Cold Fury and still crippled by emotional baggage, he’s in need of some serious help with his son. But while the nerdy new nanny wins his son’s heart, Zack isn’t sure he’s ready for a woman’s touch—even after getting a glimpse of the killer curves she’s hiding under those baggy clothes.

Kate Francis usually keeps men like Zack at a distance. Though his athlete’s body is honed to perfection, he refuses to move on with his life—and besides, he’s her boss. Still, the sparks between them are undeniable, tempting Kate to turn their professional relationship into a personal one. But before she makes a power play for Zack’s wounded heart, Kate will have to open him up again and show him that love is worth the fight.

Zack Review:

I have to tell you, I was afraid to read this book. With both Alex and Garrett, I dove into the book the same day I was approved for them on NetGalley. And I either finished that same day, or the very next.

I procrastinated reading Zack for weeks.

As much as the main story in Garrett devastated me, Zack’s storyline unraveled me. Frankly, I wasn’t sure I could handle this book. I knew, because 99% romances have HEAs (and I like it that way), that it would all work out for Zack, but I knew it would be an emotional ride.

I had been so emotional and stressed that month anyway (on the verge of a big move and new job), the last thing I needed was a reason for another ugly cry.

But when I finally read it? Just. so. cah-yoot.

Sure, the celebrity with the nanny thing is kind of cliche. A less scandalous, less British, and more athletic Jude Law.

But Kate tapped into my love of nerd love and their whole relationship was so adorable when Zack had his guilt-free moments.

Was it incredibly emotional? Yes. Did I ugly cry a lot? Absolutely. But it was still great.

About Sawyer Bennett

USA Today Best-Selling author, Sawyer Bennett, is a snarky southern woman and reformed trial lawyer who decided to finally start putting on paper all of the stories that were floating in her head. She is married to a mobster (well, a market researcher) and they have two big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Sawyer would like to report she doesn’t have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.
