The Weekly Write-Up is where I talk about what’s gone on in the past 168 hours, both on the blog and off.
<weather rant>So today it was like 50 degrees. A week ago, it was like 5 degrees. Snow is oddly still everywhere, and it stays light out until really late. It’s doing all kinds of weird things to my internal clock and I’m tired of it. </weather rant>

It’s My Life
It’s been a pretty slow/boring week. The weather has been all kinds of crazy. Wednesday afternoon brought us crazy freezing rain that made the roads slippery enough that we had to close the office at 4. Then it turned into insane amounts of snow and wind, resulting in 6+ inches of snow *on our covered balcony alone*.
And a work from home day. Gotta love those work from home days. Except that I eat literally all of the things.
Then Friday my apartment’s parking lot wasn’t plowed by the time I had to leave for work, so my car kept getting stuck and I was just sitting there Googling stuff trying to get out. That was fun.
I also took a half-day to get to NYC earlier than usual. I wanted to be at my boyfriend’s to surprise him when he got home from work, so I told him I was arriving at the usual time. But then, sweet boy that he is, he started talking about staying in midtown to meet me at my bus. So I had to be like, “Just. Go. Home.” and dropping really obvious hints because I refused to flat-out say, “I’m already here!”
So, yeah, that surprise didn’t go as planned.
It was still great being there, even if boyfriend worked most of the time. I explored his neighborhood a bit more, found an awesome nail salon, and binge-watched The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, that new Netflix show starring Ellie Kemper and created by Tina Fey. It. Is. Hilarous. Watch. It. Watch. It. Now. It started out slow for me but got more hilarious and more adorable with each episode.
