The Weekly Write-Up is where I talk about what’s gone on in the past 168 hours, both on the blog and off.
It’s My Life
Last week…didn’t go as planned. I thought I’d be super busy with the CEO visiting, and spending other time working on the review-a-thon and the ecourse I’m writing.
Well, sick happened. Spend most of the later half of the week and weekend in the bathroom (TMI? Too bad – you only have to hear about it, not deal with it 😛 ) and / or at the doctor’s office.
I’m pretty sure I’ve consumed more water in the past 5 days than I have in my other 24 and 10/12 years. I automatically cringe at the sight of a Smart water bottle right now, solely because that’s the brand bottle that I happen to have lying around to refill. Sorry, Smart water.
While I was lying in bed and Netflixing New Girl, I did get a little work done. Specifically, I finally said “goodbye” to the striped background, and worked on a few new freebies for you all.

Be a Better Blogger:
For this month’s Be a Better Blogger challenge, pick 3 small tasks that you’ve been procrastinating. That can be anything from updating your review archives (one of my goals) to spending a few hours writing reviews in advance or scheduling social media posts. Pick 3 things you want to do but haven’t yet, and do them.
Links I Lurve
Do you skimm?
TheSkimm is a daily newsletter (every weekday) that sends you a summary of the headlines from the day before. Actually, it’s better. Because the writing is funny, sarcastic, witty, and full of fun culture references. All while making me a more informed citizen. After all, why read the news when I can read a book? 😛
Nose Graze Bundle
If you use the Ultimate Book Blogger plugin*, you can buy a bundle of 4 add-ons (a $40 value) for $27. You’ll be able to add flame ratings, reading challenges, review requests, and posting to Goodreads to your book blog while using a plugin you’re already familiar with – no new tools! 🙂
Book Bloggers Community
Have you heard of Slack? I’m using it to build a community / forum for book bloggers! I’m super excited – all we need now is members! You can talk books, promote reviews, share giveaways, hang at the “book watercooler,” and ask and answer questions in one spot, with conversations organized by topic.
Request an invitation if you’d like to join, and once there’s more than a handful of us, I’ll send out the invite codes!
