Despite things being crazy and working on a million projects right now, I’m pretty on top of my review schedule. That being said, there’s always that NetGalley backlog of books that came out awhile ago. And non-ARCs I’ve read. And audiobooks I’ve listened to. See? Always more to be done. I’m going to start early as usual, but it’s going to be a pretty busy week so I don’t know how much I’ll get done. And if this weekend is nice, no promises I’ll want to stay indoors. But hey, I’m gonna try. My August Write On Review-a-Thon To-Do List Sustained by […]
Boy, do I need this! I have been in such a slump lately. Not just a blogging slump, but an all-around life slump. Getting out of bed? Showering? No thank you. I think it started around when I was really sick last month. Unfortunately, I’m either still sick or sick again. I am so tired of hearing “the rapid test came back positive for strep.” Seriously, if you want a throat punch, walk up to me on the street and say those words. I might have also gotten a little burnout from signing up for too many blitzes, cover reveals, and […]
Just like winter is coming, because it’s freaking cold out. I have never in my life been so jealous of bears. Right now, they’re stuffing their faces (so am I) and getting ready for a months-long nap (which sounds amazing) in their caves. Do you know what I would give for a winter of binge eating, binge watching, binge reading, and binge napping? Hell, I’d still do my job. I’d still blog. I just don’t want to leave the house. I’m kind of behind on my ARC review right now, so it’s a perfect time for a Write On Review-a-Thon! […]
Remember last month when I talked about how behind I was? That’s nothing compared to this month. I’ve started looking for a new job, have done a lot of updates to the site, and have been signing up for more stuff, so when it comes to the blog, there’s been more to do and less time to do it in. I’m struggling, to say the least. Looking for a new job is really time-consuming, especially with my industry. The kind of jobs I’m looking for (content marketing) require a lot of writing. So for most jobs I’ve been applying for, […]
Big ups to The Book Vixen for organizing something fun that also makes me get up off my ass and be productive! In reality, I’m not getting up off my ass because the Write On Review-a-Thon requires reading and writing, both of which I do best sitting or laying down. But, productivity, yeah! Basically, I’m a bad, bad book blogger and should be punished. I only publish full blog reviews of a small fraction of what I read. Most books get a one-paragraph review on Goodreads and Amazon.
