Review: Buns by Alice Clayton

Review: Oh Alice, you’ve done it again. I love you so much. 😍 Damn, Archie at the beginning of the book is like the male version of the wound up librarian stereotype. All buttoned up and rigid and in need of a good slomo-style shaking your hair out. And his family is like the Kellermans in Dirty Dancing? He can role play as your Johnny Castle? Sign. Me. Up. Screw Clara. He’s mine, along with that swan life in the final dance. Jk, Clara’s pretty cool. More than pretty cool. My favorite thing about books by my faves like Alice and Christina […]

Review: All You Need by Lorelai James

Review: Okay, I think this has been my favorite in the series so far, and I really liked the other two. I don’t even know if there was a specific thing I liked more, just all the things I’ve liked about the series were really amplified. It was just so enjoyable. There were a bunch of scenes that I’ve bookmarked and go back and read when I’m in a 5-minute cab ride or otherwise don’t want to dive into a plot I’m going through for the first time. And they’re not even hot scenes, just fun scenes! Some of the banter […]

Review: Every Little Thing by Samantha Young

My Review: OMG, I geeked out a wee bit when I saw Samantha Young was coming out with a book set in Delaware. I don’t know how I missed the first book in the series! So here’s me… And yeah, that’s a big ole’ Delaware blue hen! YouDeeeeeee! 🙌 Lol if you’ve been a reader awhile, you’ll remember that Delaware is actually where I started this blog! I went to college at UD and lived there for almost 4 years after graduating. This book clearly takes place in the Slower Lower / beachy areas and I lived up in New Castle County, […]

Review: Beautiful by Christina Lauren

Review: Gahhhh. Just. Gahhh. I really, really, really with I had a more articulate initial reaction to hands-down my favorite romance series of all-time, but let’s be real. I’m me. Articulate reactions are not my thing. And one of my favorite things about this series – my favorite series of all time – is, as I’ve said before, that Christina & Lauren don’t just make you fall in love with each of their couples. They let you stay in love with them too. How many series do you read where a couple gets their HEA, and then even in their […]

Review: Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci

Review: Hot damn, this book checked all my boxes! Authors I love? ✔️ Beautiful scenery? ✔️ The sense of humor I’d find at brunch with my own girlfriends? ✔️ Second chance romance? ✔️ A strong, badass female? ✔️ Dude who’s as hot in looks as he is in personality? ✔️ So let’s get started on the deets! I added this book to my TBR the second I heard of it and just knewww it would be amazing. Between the authors and the name, it was enough to make up my mind. 🙂 It was pretty Eat, Pray, Love-ish in concept (I think, it’s been awhile since […]

Review: Well Hung by Lauren Blakely

My Review: First of all, since I haven’t posted my review of Mister O, I haven’t talked about this series since it became a…series lol. Can we PUHLEAAAASE talk about these book titles? So. fucking. amazing. Back when there was just Big Rock, I chuckled. I called it Big Cock in my head (because remember that book cover? You could just tell…) because I have the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy. But I never imagined I’d get even more dirty, funny, punny book titles to play with! Wheeee! Moving on. Oh, Hammer, you poor sucker. You […]

But then I got sick on vacation and couldn’t read, and then I was in the hospital and wanted this book soooo damn bad but of course the tote bag it was sitting in wasn’t the one I had with me when I ended up there unexpectedly. #booknerdproblems But I finally got out and got it read when spending time […]

Review: The Mother Road by Meghan Quinn

Review: I don’t know why, but for some reason I thought this would be a cute, kinda innocent but still great read. I really don’t know why, considering I’ve read and loved a Meghan Quinn book before. Something about the cover, I guess? (Guuuuys, it’s so prettyyyy) That past experience is why I was willing to give an innocent-looking new adult book a chance in the first place. But I started reading to find the same naughty, raunchy, fucking hilaaarious humor as in The Virgin Romance Novelist. Nope, not innocent humor at all. Not innocent romance at all. Yassss. I […]

Review: Beautiful Boss by Christina Lauren

Review: This was an intensely emotional read for me. Tears the whole time! Not sad tears or even happy tears all the time, just…intensity tears. Beautiful Bastard is one of my all-time favorite series. My reading tastes and preferences have changed a lot since I first read Beautiful Bastard in 2013. In fact, it’s just starting to occur to me that I don’t even read books by most of the authors who were my favorites back then. But Christina Lauren, and this series, are still at the top of my “love” list. And while I loved the first two books, […]

Review: The Consequence of Seduction by Rachel Van Dyken

Review: Oh, Reid. What Grandma did to you… Once again, this series toed the line between ridiculous and too ridiculous so well. Aaaaand it had Broadway, which makes everything better. I had no idea this Phantom of the Opera fantasy was a thing, and I kind of love it. I mean, I knew Leslie Knope loved him: But I didn’t realize it was other people, too. She also thinks Ben Wyatt has an elf butt…and likes it. So I don’t always relate to her turn-ons. Back to the main point (which relates pretty well to Leslie Knope, actually), this book […]
