Review: Sweet Ache by K. Bromberg

Review: Hmmm…does rocker beat racer every time? I’m not sure about every time, but it was true for me here. My only point of comparison for this series is Colton and Rylee, since I haven’t read Slow Burn yet, but I have to say I like this relationship more. Where Colton was the typical demanding alpha, Hawke was more of a carefree, playful alpha. And I loved it. The chemistry between him and Quinlan drove me crazy. There are a few scenes in this book that have made their way to the top of my all-time favorite steamy scenes. 😉 […]

Review: Club Luxe 1: The Private Room by Olivia Noble

My Review: I don’t know why I always feel the need to warn you when I write a short review about a short book. But I do, so I will: this review is short since the book is short. I read this so long ago, and even when I was reading it didn’t leave much of an impact. So waiting so long to write the review was probably stupid on my part. Normally, I would reread the book, but what I do remember is being pretty unimpressed, so I don’t really want to. First off, an erotica novella doesn’t leave […]

Review: Star Struck by Laurelin Paige

Review: Ah. I just reread this book and forgot how amazing it was. It really has it all. First, let’s talk about sex, baby. (“Let’s talk about you and me, let’s talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be. Let’s talk abouuuut it.”) Sometimes I feel like I’ve been desensitized to sex scenes. After all, I’ve probably read almost a thousand romance books with at least five sex scenes each. A lot of sex, some of it hot, some of it not. So when reading them, I don’t get hot and bothered and out of […]

New Release: Free Me by Laurelin Paige

I haven’t gotten a chance to start this yet, but we know I’m a big fan of Laurelin Paige, and the series is definitely intriguing. Readers of The Fixed Trilogy can assume that this story? It doesn’t end well. As a lover of happily ever after, hopeless practical romantic, and general sap, it makes me nervous to read a book I’m pretty sure won’t have a happy ending. It’s something new for me, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. a Rafflecopter giveaway About Laurelin Paige Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed […]

Release + Review: Wildcard Volume 3 by Missy Johnson

Review: Recommended for: Twisters and turners, tennis players, and anyone who wouldn’t be too sad to see one of their exes a little banged up. What I liked about this series was the distinctly different themes each volume has. Volume 1 was all about carefree, cocky Ryder. Volume 2 was when we saw vengeful, hurt Ryder. This volume was all about “I’ll fight and do anything for my woman,” Ryder. I loved it. I also loved the vulnerability both Ryder and Scarlett showed. Even though they were secure in their feelings for each other, they were really insecure in their […]

Review + Excerpt: Slade by Adriane Leigh

Review: Recommended for: People who like an element of suspense with their romance and aren’t turned off by a little BDSM. Loved this! The only thing I didn’t love was that I thought it was kind of weird how many things in this book were compared to chocolate. But I love chocolate, so I kind of get how everything good can remind you of it. Also, I’ve read Wild, but not Ridge, so all of the interactions with Ridge kind of confused me. Not a big deal, especially since where Wild was a pretty big (although still a side) […]

#ThowbackThursday Review: Reasonable Doubt

Happy #TBT! So I’ve been trying to decide what to write about now that I’m done my Penny Reid series. I was planning out my Halloween costume when it came to me. So if you take a look at my bedroom, my DVD collection, my personal Facebook page, and especially the watch history for my YouTube account, you know I love dancing. So much. I was a dancer for 18 years. And I didn’t stop by choice. My ankles crapped out on me. Damn you, ankles! So now that I can’t dance, I like watching/reading about other people dancing. So I’m […]

Review: Wildcard Volume 2 by Missy Johnson

My Review: Recommended for: Tennis fans, those who like to see a cocky man put in his place…or in your place  Review: Another short and sweet review, in keeping with the last one. My main takeaway from this volume? There’s nothing like a lovesick douchebag (does anyone else thing The Lovesick Douchebags would be a great band name? I’m sure they would rock ‘We Are the Dateless Losers.’) I felt for Ryder so much at the end of Wildcard Volume 1. He could have gone off and banged every single girl in the United States and to any haters, I’d have yelled […]

Review: The Wild Side by R.K. Lilley

My Review: The thing I liked most about this book was the length. I started it last night shortly before I went to bed. I have a habit of getting sucked into a book late on a weekend night and staying up until I finished it. Luckily, that was only an hour and a half in this case. So I actually got some sleep. Although I did get sucked into this book, it left me feeling unsatisfied in the end. Don’t you hate that? So basically, Iris approaches Alasdair at the gym one day, leaves with him, and they quickly […]
