Review: All You Need by Lorelai James

Review: Okay, I think this has been my favorite in the series so far, and I really liked the other two. I don’t even know if there was a specific thing I liked more, just all the things I’ve liked about the series were really amplified. It was just so enjoyable. There were a bunch of scenes that I’ve bookmarked and go back and read when I’m in a 5-minute cab ride or otherwise don’t want to dive into a plot I’m going through for the first time. And they’re not even hot scenes, just fun scenes! Some of the banter […]

Review: Every Little Thing by Samantha Young

My Review: OMG, I geeked out a wee bit when I saw Samantha Young was coming out with a book set in Delaware. I don’t know how I missed the first book in the series! So here’s me… And yeah, that’s a big ole’ Delaware blue hen! YouDeeeeeee! 🙌 Lol if you’ve been a reader awhile, you’ll remember that Delaware is actually where I started this blog! I went to college at UD and lived there for almost 4 years after graduating. This book clearly takes place in the Slower Lower / beachy areas and I lived up in New Castle County, […]

Review: Down Shift by K. Bromberg

Review: There wasn’t anything legit that I disliked about this book but it didn’t really excite me. In fact, in the middle of it, I put it down for like a week. That may not seem like a deal, but normally once I start a book, I’m reading it at least a little bit every day until I finish. I don’t normally go entire days without picking it back up. I just didn’t really have any strong reactions to it. In fact, my strongest emotion is misplaced and irrational annoyance that this book is seemingly set in the present, but so […]

Review: Any Time, Any Place by Jennifer Probst

Review: Woof, this book was NOT good for my anxiety, lol! I feel like my blood pressure went up, my eyes went bloodshot, and I bit my nails the whole way through. I loved it. Well, I didn’t love the secret. I’m not good at keeping secrets. I’m worse than Nick Miller on New Girl with secrets, and they make him sweat and babble A LOT. Nick Miller is me. I am Nick Miller. So I didn’t do well knowing Raven’s secret, but had to find out how/when it got out about her connection to Dalton. It kept me on […]

Review: Hi, can Kiki be my best friend? That’d be great. She seems so fun, has the same kind of hang-ups/baggage as me so she won’t judge me on it, and her work is awesome. But then again, I kinda love her friendship with Darren so much that I wouldn’t want to step on that. 😛 We all know that I love a good friends to benefits books, and this was no exception. Especially since they both were in so much pain about it at that point, and it was hilarious. Darren was just total swooniness, especially with his family. […]

Review: To Love and to Cherish by Lauren Layne

Review: Yay! I’ve been waiting for this match (as I’m sure you have too)! Godddd does Logan sound hot. And I have a soft spot for accountants, I even live with one and kiss him sometimes. 😉 I’m sorry, I know it’s nerdy, but dudes who know numbers are hot. Add in British? And ooooh. Logan was perfect. Frankly, he was too good for Alexis. Alexis, well we knew she was flawed before we started this. I just wanted to slap the back of her head and tell her to stop dicking around and open her eyes. I figured in […]

Review: For Better or Worse by Lauren Layne

Review: Ha! Was anyone else getting major Wallbanger memories with the circumstances of how Josh and Heather knew each other? But just like, tamer and with people who were clearly more normal than the Wallbanger characters. Still lurved it. 🙂 I have major soft spots for neighbor romances. I’ve had so many bad neighbors, it’s nice to have an alternate universe to fantasize about. Remind me to tell you about the neighbor who had 6 cats whose litter boxes she didn’t keep clean enough. This book had me less “OMG cuteness” than To Have and To Hold did, but it […]

Review: Coming Clean by C.L. Parker

Review: This is going to be a complicated one. I thought this book was very well done, but damn was it a downer for me. Let’s get into it. First, you guys know that if a book is done well as the end of a series, I’m not going to like it. It’s documented in lots of other book #3 reviews around the blog. I’m a brat and I don’t like endings. If an author wraps up a series well, I’m not going to take it well. It’s basically a fact at this point. Secondly, it pulled a fucking Parks and […]

Review: Beautiful by Christina Lauren

Review: Gahhhh. Just. Gahhh. I really, really, really with I had a more articulate initial reaction to hands-down my favorite romance series of all-time, but let’s be real. I’m me. Articulate reactions are not my thing. And one of my favorite things about this series – my favorite series of all time – is, as I’ve said before, that Christina & Lauren don’t just make you fall in love with each of their couples. They let you stay in love with them too. How many series do you read where a couple gets their HEA, and then even in their […]

Review: To Have and To Hold by Lauren Layne

Review: First of all, YORKVILLE! OMFG YORKVILLE! I live there. This book takes place there. And can we talk about how much I love that it takes place there? This is a tiny, quiet, beautiful neighborhood on the Upper East side that’s like a bubble from the rest of the upper class Upper East Side. It’s gorgeous. Everyone’s youngish, professionalish, and friendly. Have I mentioned it’s gorgeous? And best of all, it’s kind of a secret. Guys, I love my neighborhood sooooooo much. And no one ever talks about it or has even heard of it – even people that […]
