Review: First Touch by Laurelin Paige

Review: I’ve mentioned before that although I love romance as well as crime and suspense stories, I don’t usually mix them. That’s mostly because my main medium for romance is books, and my main medium for suspense is crime procedural dramas on TV. And reading sex scenes with a Criminal Minds murder scene going on in the background kind of feels like it would be a mood killer. Yes, Shemar Moore is the finest specimen the A&E network has ever seen, but I don’t even think that would be enough… (PS – Here are the Google Image search results for […]

Review: Find Me by Laurelin Paige

Review: I liked this book a lot. On its own it would have been 4 stars. But I feel like it needs to be part of/related to Free Me – and I just felt so differently about each of them. With Free Me, I was actually nervous to read it and wasn’t sure if I liked it. I loved it. For that reason, I was expecting to love Find Me. Readers of The Fixed Trilogy can assume that this story? It doesn’t end well. As a lover of happily ever after, hopeless practical romantic, and general sap, it makes me nervous to read a […]

Review: Star Struck by Laurelin Paige

Review: Ah. I just reread this book and forgot how amazing it was. It really has it all. First, let’s talk about sex, baby. (“Let’s talk about you and me, let’s talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be. Let’s talk abouuuut it.”) Sometimes I feel like I’ve been desensitized to sex scenes. After all, I’ve probably read almost a thousand romance books with at least five sex scenes each. A lot of sex, some of it hot, some of it not. So when reading them, I don’t get hot and bothered and out of […]
