About Last Kiss:

A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE FILLED WITH DARK DESIRES AND DANGEROUS SECRETS…

Emily Wayborn has made a decision.

She might not fully trust handsome and deadly Reeve Sallis, but he is the one person that gives her what she needs. With Reeve she can finally be herself. Submitting to him is the only thing keeping her grounded as the rest of her life falls apart. But the hotelier is a master at keeping secrets and as she continues her quest for answers someone is making sure she doesn’t find them.

Time is running out and she is questioning everything she thought she knew about friendship and love. She must now make an impossible choice that will determine if she will survive with her heart…or at all.

Review:

I don’t foray into romantic suspense often. In fact, this and First Touch may have been the only ones in the genre I read in 2016. And I don’t know if that scarcity is just why I love it so much, or if these books just kicked ass. I think they just kicked ass. 😉

I WAS SO INTO THIS, GUYS.

So there was that huge, big, dramatic cliffhanger at the end of book 1, and then I waited ages to read book 2. So in the first few chapters, I had to think hard about what was going on and why. Usually that would annoy me, but since the book started off with so much going on anyway, in a weird way I kind of like it. It added to the drama, I guess?

Emily was in a really difficult place in this book, where her two different “identities” – as a friend and as a girlfriend – are colliding in like the worst way possible. Girl is flawed as hell, as we know from the beginning of the series, obviously most of the time she doesn’t handle it in the best way.

But she tries so hard and is so torn that even while you’re trying to figure out all the drama of who’s lying, who’s telling truths, who’s still keeping secrets, and what drama bombs haven’t been dropped yet, you’re feeling for her SO hard.
