Review:

This was a fun, cute read. I read most of it during a day on the beach, and it all felt very appropriate. ๐Ÿ™‚

First of all, I liked the formula. It was pretty much the same formula as the first book in the series, What You Need, but a completely different book. So authors who say you can’t follow a trope and make it original, take note. Lorelei James had her two heroes go through the same thing in completely different lenses and with different people, so ha!

Very much a meet cute, it quickly turns into a meet hot, if that’s a thing. It’s the kind of story that could win a “how we met” contest, if that’s a thing as well. ๐Ÿ˜›

And if these things don’t exist yet, I take credit.

There was also art, really cool sounding art.

(Although there should’ve been more sexy art scenes, goddammit!)

And a big family, which is always so enjoyable to read about. It’s the kind of thing that I know only ever seems perfect and fun in fiction, so I’d rather read a book like this, with a character from a big family that’s very involved in the plot, than go hang out with my boyfriend’s 9 aunts lol.

His fam doesn’t have a Selka. I wish they had a Selka!

And finally, there was a hot Viking. I’m not much the Viking type – in real life, I can’t tolerate kissing a beard at all, and will tell my boyfriend “go shave or I won’t kiss you” on the reg – but I love theย idea of a Viking.

Once again, this book totally tapped into things I want in my dreams but not at all in my reality lol.

I mean, I still prefer Brady to Walker, I think. But he’s not winning out enough for it to really matter. ๐Ÿ™‚
