My Spring Bloggiesta To-Do List

Posted 16 March, 2015 in Features / 22 Comments

Time for another Bloggiesta! This one is a week long, so I hope to get a lot knocked out. I think I’ll still need to do my regular tasks (I didn’t manage to get ahead like I’d hoped), so this is in addition to blog admin, email, and any posts I have scheduled for the week.

Update: As you can see, I didn’t get a lot done. But some really, insanely crazy and potentially big things happened this past week. As much as it sucks how little progress I made, I can’t guilt myself for my focus being away from the blog. :/

  • Meet all of my goals for March’s Be a Better Blogger Challenge.
    • 3/24 – I had already made pretty good progress on this before this week, but I finally finished today! If you want to clean up your categories this week, join the challenge!
  • Cross out 10 reviews on my “Ultimate Book Blogger Backlog” List.
  • Cross-post 10 reviews from my backlog to Amazon.
    • 3/25 – Five reviews have been submitted to Amazon. Just waiting on most of them to be approved!
    • 3/27 – Knocked out the rest and am still waiting on approvals.
  • Write 4 reviews (as many as possible for my reading challenges).
    • 3/23 – I got a jump start on this one with this month’s Write On Review-a-Thon, for which I just finished my fourth review!
  • Add 1 more “Top 10” list to accompany my LOL AuthorsΒ page.
    • 3/24 – I started a “Top 10 Friends with Benefits Books” list. I’ve written the intro and added info for 4 of the books.
  • Finish the freebie PDF I plan on giving away to Bumblings Blog Tips subscribers.
  • Reach out to 5 authors/publishers about being added to their ARC lists.
    • 3/23 – One down, four to go!
    • 3/27 – Did three more.
  • Participate in 1 Bloggiesta Twitter chat.
    • 3/24 – I joined the social media chat today, and am planning on attending all of the other evening (EST) chats, as well!

    • Thanks! Good luck to you, too. I’m not as bad with Goodreads since getting the add-on for the Ultimate Book Blogger plugin. It automatically posts new reviews to GR for me. My sticky situation there is with reviews published before I got the plugin. But with Amazon, I absolutely SUCK. I’ve reviewed over 100 books on this blog, plus more on Goodreads, and I’ve written maybe 20 reviews on Amazon. :/ I feel so guilty about it.

    • LOL this is actually the “To Do…Someday” list from my Todoist account, so it’s just everything that needs to get done right now. On top of regular blogging tasks, there’s no way I’m getting it done, unless I can cross off all the reviews during the review-a-thon this weekend. πŸ™‚

  1. Fantastic list! I’m still too scared to reach out to publishers. I hope you get added to some mailing lists, though! And I totally just signed up for Bumbling Blog Tips. I need all the help I can get πŸ˜‰ Good luck & happy Bloggiesta!

  2. I think organizing and spring cleaning are great goals. I never thought of reaching out to publishers. One of my goals is to meet as many new bloggers as possible, so I am spending today visiting as many blogs on the sign up as possible. Happy Bloggiesta

    • Thanks! I only recently started contacting publishers. So many of my favorite authors don’t do blog tours or NetGalley, but I wasn’t finding time to read their books because I was loaded down with ARCs. I started reaching out to publishers directly for their ARCs to make it easier to read the books. πŸ™‚

  3. That’s a really good list! I think you’re the first person I’ve seen who mentioned publishers, but it’s definitely a good one to have πŸ™‚
    Good luck this week!

  4. Good luck this week! I made such a long list and probably won’t get to everything but even a little bit helps. I also love to laugh while reading and went to your LOL Author page. I laughed a lot while reading Losing It by Carmack. I am not sure I have read any of the other authors. I may have to give some of them a try next time I want a romantic comedy.

  5. You already know that I love everything you do, and of course your list is amazing. I need to add to reach out to publishers to their lists. Do you have a format for that? I need to work on Categories, too, but I’m scared LOL Thanks for being so awesome, and good luck on getting your list done this week ♥
