Review: Shame On Him by Tara Sivec

Title: Shame On Him Author: Tara Sivec Buy Links: Amazon Rating: 5 foolish stars Recommended for: People who find it as hilarious as I do when people are seemingly awful at their jobs yet, at the end of the day, still get the job done! Also, chick-lit fans who read hilarious authors like Belle Aurora and Penny Reid (along with Tara’s other books)!

Review: Play Me to Infinity by Carey Decevito

If you haven’t noticed yet, I’ve been eating up the Broken Men Chronicles. So, the first one was a little sad for me, but the second one was much more lighthearted, and Play me to Infinity replaced sadness with crazy people, which is always AWESOME in my book. I’m so sad that I’m caught up on the series. It’s like the feeling at the end of that Netflix binge when you realize that now you have to wait a whole seven days between episodes. What is this blasphemy? At least I only have to wait a few weeks, according to […]

Review: Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire

Review: Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire

Sorry, Travis. I have a new favorite Maddox brother. Thank you, Beautiful Oblivion. I loved so many parts of Travis and Abby’s relationship, but there were also a lot of things wrong with it. More so than in your average alpha male romance novel. A lot of people are saying Beautiful Oblivion is too similar to Beautiful Disaster‘s story. It is very similar. But to me, it’s a better relationship in the end. I pre-ordered this for my Kindle as soon as I could, and then received a nice little email from Klout about two weeks ago. What was it for? […]

Review: Almost Forgotten by Carey Decevito

I really enjoyed the first book in the Broken Men Chronicles, Once Written, Twice Shy, a lot, but felt the heartbreak in that bummed me out. I can take a lot of sadness in a book, but prefer more lighthearted stuff. I cry easily and mostly read around other people, so sad books are bad, haha. So let me start this review by saying this book is not like that. Almost Forgotten was great! I can’t wait to read Play Me to Infinity after this. Second-chance love stories are probably one of my top three favorite tropes, and this one didn’t disappoint. […]

Review: Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton

Review: Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton

Recommended for: People who like reading about friends becoming more, ridiculous comedy fans (think people named Barry Derry), banter fiends. Oh, the banter… My Review: Oh, Wallbanger and Mink Nightie Girl, how I missed thee. Excuse me, I need to catch my breath. Either from panting or cracking up. Because I was always doing one of the two while reading Rusty Nailed. Alice Clayton, you never disappoint! Wallbanger is one of those books that I reread at least once every few months. And every reread, I find more things that I find highlight-worthy. At this point, the entire book is highlighted. […]

Review: Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid

My Review: Squee! This is going to be an incoherent review. Very incoherent. Because ALL THE FEELS about Neanderthal Marries Human and anything Knitting in the City.. My name is Brittany, and I’m a Penny Reid groupie. I am a Shark of Awesome. I’ve also been having a BLAST rereading the first book, Neanderthal Seeks Human, in the Facebook read-along. This book went live on Amazon early, and I found out at work, and waiting until I got home to start it was TORTURE. So first, let’s talk order. This is book 1.5 in the Knitting in the City series, […]

Review: Very Wicked Beginnings by Ilsa Madden-Mills

My Review: I realized too late that I probably should have read Very Wicked Things before I read Very Wicked Beginnings. I thought it was simply the second in the series, not a prequel that was published after the second book. #Oopsie. However, now that I’m looking, I’m still really confused. In some places it lists the two books as Briarcrest Academy #2 and #3, and elsewhere #1.5 and #2. So I guess it’s an easy mistake to make. Plus, it was on sale for the great price of $0.00 and I’m still waiting on a loan for Very Wicked […]

Review: The Wild Side by R.K. Lilley

Review: The Wild Side by R.K. Lilley

My Review: The thing I liked most about this book was the length. I started it last night shortly before I went to bed. I have a habit of getting sucked into a book late on a weekend night and staying up until I finished it. Luckily, that was only an hour and a half in this case. So I actually got some sleep. Although I did get sucked into this book, it left me feeling unsatisfied in the end. Don’t you hate that? So basically, Iris approaches Alasdair at the gym one day, leaves with him, and they quickly […]
