Review: Ripped by Katy Evans

Review: Everything I didn’t understand about Pandora finally makes sense…kind of. There were still parts of this book that didn’t make sense. But I liked it a lot. It was definitely the most…normal…of the Real series. One thing that kind of got on my nerves about Remy was that he and Brooke had an extremely dysfunctional relationship, to the point that it didn’t really seem healthy. I like caveman…to an extent. When you’re actually acting like an animal, not so much. Greyson was kind of the same way, with an added dangerous man vibe. Kenna, rock god-ness aside, is a […]

Review: The Duality Principle by Rebecca Grace Allen

My Review: Eek! I love nerd romances. In fact, I live one. My boyfriend’s idea of fun is filling out tax returns, and mine is coming up with new marketing strategies. So yeah. Nerds in love, even if they’re not in love with another nerd? Kinda mah thang. I also love trying to figure out whether or not a guy is a “bad boy” or not, as well as small town romances, and books that take place on the New England coast. So for me, The Duality Principle had it all. The only thing I didn’t like was that I […]

Review: Forked by Melanie Harlow

My Review: Recommended for: anyone who knows what it’s like to not be able to keep your hands off someone who’s probably bad for you, anyone who likes sexy cooking scenes 😉 Love this book! It’s been out for like a minute, and I’ve already read it twice. My first thoughts while reading the beginning of Forked: Coco is probably the kind of adult who shouldn’t be left unsupervised. Kind of like myself. Once my boyfriend moved and I had the bedroom to myself, his side of the bed became my pantry and the floor is for clean laundry. So […]

Review: Shape of My Heart by Ann Aguirre

Review: This book was awesome, but I have to say it was my least favorite of the trilogy. Fitting, since Shape of My Heart was my least favorite Backstreet Boys song out of the three the books in this series were named after. Also fitting since by the end of a series or trilogy you’ve loved, your expectations are set pretty high. I’ve always loved Max, since book one. In I Want It That Way, you see much of the fun of him and he was immediately someone I would want to hang out with. In As Long As You Love […]

Review: The Beauty Series Bundle by Georgia Cates

My Review: Yay! I had read the first two books in the series so long ago, before the third book came out. I just completely missed Beauty from Love coming out and then saw this bundle and was like “AH I NEED TO READ THE ENDING!” Then I got the ARC and was like “BAM!” So that’s my important story. The bundle is perfect for others in my situation because it’s been so long since reading Beauty from Pain and Beauty from Surrender that I definitely would have had to reread them anyway. But Jack. Henry. McLaughlin. Hot. Damn. My. Man. It […]

Review: Scenes from the City by Penny Reid

Review: I’m deducting a star because DAMN YOU PENNY REID, YOU SCENE-TEASE, YOU. I. want. more. And I’m blaming you for these frustration and deprivation feels. The real review starts now. Merry festivus for the rest of us! Penny celebrates festivus, pole and all (okay, I’m not sure about the pole, and this sounds dirty if you’re not a Seinfeld fan). Instead of airing her grievances this year, she wrote us some presents. Scenes from the City gives us a little tease of life after the HEA for each of the knitting group girl’s we’ve already read about. Each one is […]

Review: Three Christmases by Kat & Stone Bastion

My Review: Read my reviews of: No Weddings (Book 1) One Funeral (Book 2) Two Bar Mitzvahs (Book 3) Recommended for: Anyone who’s gotten through a long distance relationship and anyone who likes laughter with a side of “holy hotness!” I just wrote a review for another book where I had to mention that my review for the last book in a great series is usually the worst, since my expectations have been built up so high. Well, congratulations to Kat and Stone Bastion, because very rarely do I enjoy the final book just as much as the first one. […]

Review: The Boys Next Door by Rosalie Lario

Review: The Boys Next Door by Rosalie Lario

My Review: Wow, totally not what I expected! So here’s how I thought The Boys Next Door would go: Girl meets bad boy. Girl tries to stay away but has intense physical attraction to bad boy. Girl also meets good boy. Girl is emotionally but not physically attracted to good boy. Girl can’t make up her mind for, like, ever so she stays away from them both and eventually makes up her mind after tons of back and forth. Yeah. Not very original. But I still wanted to read it! Sun, fun, and a love triangle? Yeah, I’ll sign up for […]

Review: One Night Denied by Jodi Ellen Malpas

My Review: Recommended for: People who like conflicts with no resolution (but actually, also people who like couples who fight and keep secrets). Um, wow. So I was unsure about reading this, since it took me a really long time for me to get into One Night Promised. I originally planned to DNF it then picked it back up a few weeks later. I ended up loving it, so when I saw OND available on NetGalley, I requested it. The ending of the first book just totally shocked me and I needed to see how it was resolved. My main […]
