Welcome to another late day of #BookBlogWriMo! I’m sorry again! Today we’re looking at bookshelves. Sorry for being late again! Being sick sucks. I just want to sleep and drink chocolate milk. But first, let me take a #shelfie.
Welcome to day 21 of #BookBlogWriMo! It’s another flashback day, with the them of reviews this time. Gah! I’m so sick of being sick. It’s even more annoying now that I’m on antibiotics but they haven’t started working yet. I’ve just laid in the dark all day and watched Audrey Hepburn movies waiting for the headache and sore throat to pass. Even the light of my laptop is awful on this headache, and it’s on the lowest brightness setting. But I’m trying to stay ahead of my #BookBlogWriMo posts, so here’s today’s.
Welcome to day 20 of #BookBlogWriMo! Today we’re gonna #TBT to good books from the past year. Ah, throwbacks. I love them. I also love that this is my fourth blog post of the day. Talk about hustle! Holla! It almost makes up for the past few weeks when I favored sleep over blogging. In my defense, I found out today that I not only have a sinus infection (which I suspected), but I also have strep throat. So that icky feeling? Not just me being tired or burnt out. I really am sick. That kind of makes me feel […]
Just like winter is coming, because it’s freaking cold out. I have never in my life been so jealous of bears. Right now, they’re stuffing their faces (so am I) and getting ready for a months-long nap (which sounds amazing) in their caves. Do you know what I would give for a winter of binge eating, binge watching, binge reading, and binge napping? Hell, I’d still do my job. I’d still blog. I just don’t want to leave the house. I’m kind of behind on my ARC review right now, so it’s a perfect time for a Write On Review-a-Thon! […]
Sorry this #BookBlogWriMo post is late, but I’m super sick :(. But today, we’re talking about our TBR shelves. Hola, hola, hola! Today we’re doing our own version of #WaitingOnWednesday. I have a TBR shelf on Goodreads that quite literally is hundreds of books long. I mean, I know I’ve read some of them and have just forgotten to update their status, but there’s still at least 200 books on there that I haven’t read yet. Some I own but haven’t gotten to, some are old books I haven’t gotten around to buying, and a small portion of them are […]
Welcome to day 18 of #BookBlogWriMo! Today we’re talking subgenres. Ah, a short and sweet post. Just what I need today! Let’s see, what’s happened today?
Dares? Friends becoming more? A brewery? This book has a recipe I love! Can’t wait to read it! Title: Betting On It Series: Callahan Brewery (Book #1) Author: Violet Blake Release Date: November 18, 2014 Links: Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks
Welcome to day 17 of #BookBlogWriMo! I can’t believe we’re so far in! Today we’re talking about tropes, because I like them too much to call them cliches. 😛 So, not every book can be original. There are only so many ways a hero and heroine can meet. Only so many types of obstacles they can encounter. Only so many relationship dynamics. When I read a book, it’s not about a completely original plot. What I look for is how well a popular scenario is executed. A book can use proven tropes and still read as original. It won’t remind […]
Welcome to day 15 of #BookBlogWriMo! Today we’re recognizing that this isn’t all sunshine and roses. Everything has its ups and downs. Book blogging is awesome, and I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t enjoy it. But just as I have my favorite things, I also have some things I don’t love about being a book blogger.
