#BookBlogWriMo Day 28 – Bookish Pet Peeves

Welcome to day 28 of #BookBlogWriMo! OMG only two days until we can say WE DID IT! Even the best authors write a bad sentence now and then, and even the best books have bad parts. Nobody’s perfect…didn’t Hilary Duff or Hannah Montana or something sing that once? It takes a lot for me to quit a book before I finish (DNF), but it’s not hard for me to “hate-read” it. Hate-read (verb): derivative of hate-watch (which is how most people watched Sound of Music: Live! with Carrie Underwood); to read something you dislike to find pleasure in mocking it. I […]

#BookBlogWriMo Day 27 – Authors I’m Thankful for

Welcome to day 27 (on day 28) of #BookBlogWriMo! Today we’re giving thanks to our favorite authors. Hey everyone! Sorry this post is late again. But remember how I mentioned finding out I’m allergic to penicillin? I was SUPER thankful for Benadryl and various other antihistamines yesterday. I woke up long enough to sit at dinner and not pass out face first in my plate, but that’s about it. But I still want to give thanks to my favorite authors, the ones who repeatedly give me worlds to get lost in:

#BookBlogWriMo Day 26 – Cheating On Books

Welcome to day 26 of #BookBlogWriMo! Tonight we’re talking about other forms of entertainment. I’m just an all-around entertainment whore. Books, magazines, movies, TV, theater, dance…I love it all. So this post is a fun way to talk about other fictional worlds I like to get lost in. The original topic was just books and movies, but I actually feel healthy enough to write a good post for the first time in awhile, so I’m just gonna keep going.

#BookBlogWriMo Day 25 – Dealing with Book Hangovers

Welcome to day 25 of #BookBlogWriMo! I can’t believe we’re almost at the finish line! That feeling. You’re completely engrossed in a book, but things are starting to resolve themselves. Oh no. This is a sign it’s almost over. Not really wanting to know, you look down to the bottom corner of your ereader’s screen. 93% complete. Crap. You don’t want this book to end. At the same time, you want to slow down to make the book last, and speed up because you have to know how it ends and you have to know now. And then you finish. And […]

#BookBlogWriMo Day 24 – Reading Cave Fantasies

Welcome to day 24 of #BookBlogWriMo! I can’t believe the challenge is almost over! Today we’re talking about reading caves. Do you ever think about what the perfect place to read would be for you? The beach? Curled up by the first on a cold day? Sometimes I browse Pinterest or those reading nook posts on BuzzFeed and while they all look so beautiful and cozy, none of them would be perfect for me. So I started thinking about my perfect nook/cave. Both what it would have, and what it would look like.
