My 2015 Challenges

Wokay. I’ve been meaning to write this post for awhile now, but it’s been hard to say, “Okay, I don’t want to sign up for any more challenges.” Because a lot of the reading challenges I see are for things I would probably be doing anyway…reading contemporary romance, reading freebies, rereading books, etc. I’m almost worried about taking on too many challenges. If it ever gets to the point where I see a good book but don’t read it because I’m worried about falling behind on challenges, I will be very sad. So since these challenges all have different “levels,” […]

December Write On Review-a-Thon

Boy, do I need this! I have been in such a slump lately. Not just a blogging slump, but an all-around life slump. Getting out of bed? Showering? No thank you. I think it started around when I was really sick last month. Unfortunately, I’m either still sick or sick again. I am so tired of hearing “the rapid test came back positive for strep.” Seriously, if you want a throat punch, walk up to me on the street and say those words. I might have also gotten a little burnout from signing up for too many blitzes, cover reveals, and […]

Excerpt: Enforce by Rachel Van Dyken

Oooh, I’m excited for this one! Reading Elite, I had a lot of questions. Things just seemed so far-fetched. I think this book will clear up a lot. Note: This book is Nixon/Chase’s POV of the timeline and events in Elite, Eagle Elite Book #1. Chapter 1 Excerpt: Nixon’s POV: I watched as the parade of cars made their way through the black iron gates, as if somehow those gates would protect them if the country went to war. Funny, they had no clue that the war—Lucifer himself, was already parading around inside, safe from the police- the feds- anyone […]

New Release: Free Me by Laurelin Paige

I haven’t gotten a chance to start this yet, but we know I’m a big fan of Laurelin Paige, and the series is definitely intriguing. Readers of The Fixed Trilogy can assume that this story? It doesn’t end well. As a lover of happily ever after, hopeless practical romantic, and general sap, it makes me nervous to read a book I’m pretty sure won’t have a happy ending. It’s something new for me, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. a Rafflecopter giveaway About Laurelin Paige Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed […]

#BookBlogWriMo Day 30 – That’s a Wrap

Welcome to day 30 of #BookBlogWriMo! WE DID IT! Gah! I’m so excited/sad. Today is the last month of #BookBlogWriMo, and I’m SO proud of myself and everyone else who stuck with it until the end! I haven’t officially collected feedback (peeps that did it: watch out for an email with a survey link soon), but I already have people talking about doing it again, wanting to co-host, and basically making me feel really good for starting this challenge I feel like I’ve really grown as a blogger in the past month. On days when it was 11:30 and I really […]

#BookBlogWriMo Day 29 – The Future of Book Bumblings

Welcome to day 29 of #BookBlogWriMo! We’re going back to the future now. At the beginning of this challenge, we talked about the history of our blogs. Since the challenge is now ending and today is the last real prompt (tomorrow is a wrap-up), it seems appropriate to look to the future. I have a lot I want to do with this blog. Too many ideas to actually implement them all soon, which sucks. But here’s a few items on my “To-Do…Someday” list:
