January Be a Better Blogger Wrap-Up

Hey everyone! Can you believe January went by so fast? What’s more, the inaugural Be a Better Blogger Challenge is coming to a close! In case you missed it, this month’s challenge was focused on improving your email marketing, and almost 10 of us participated (although it’s not too late to get something done and sign up!). Honestly, I haven’t finished my goals yet, but my list might’ve been too long. It’s definitely a learning experience: just because you have 30 days doesn’t mean you aren’t going to procrastinate, or not have other things get in the way. Next month’s […]

Character Blitz: Mad Love by Colet Abedi

Meet Clayton: CEO Oil, deep water drilling, and maritime transportation Cool, confident, intelligent, successful, and always the center of attention- and not to mention extremely attractive. He knows exactly what he wants out of life and how he’s going to get it and others can’t help but be drawn by his boldness and charisma. His good looks and charm makes him a highly sought after lover and he knows it. However, he can be controlling and demanding at times which can be hard on relationships. To-Do List: January Write On Review-a-Thon

Once again, the Write On Review-a-Thon is coming. And once again, my goal is to clean out my NetGalley shelf. Some of the books on this month’s have shown up in review-a-thon’s before, and it’s really quite pathetic that I haven’t gotten to them yet. I also have some review tours coming up, so I need to knock those reviews out. I’m going to schedule-shift this month’s a little bit, since my boyfriend and I are celebrating our six year anniversary this weekend. <3 I’m going up to NYC, but I do have the three-hour WiFi-enbled bus rides Friday night […]

Excerpt: Blindsided by Emma Hart

Excerpt: “Thought you didn’t want me?” I whisper in her ear. “Hasn’t that been your motto for days?” “I…don’t…” she replies breathily. I curl my fingers inside her and push down on her clit. “Don’t give me that shit, Leah. My fingers are inside your gorgeously tight pussy right now. Don’t tell me you don’t fuckin’ want me.” She drops her head forward onto my shoulder as I continue to work her, to rub her, to bring her closer to the edge. Before she goes, I pull my fingers from her and hold her face in front of mine. “Corey,” […]

Top 10 Tuesday – 2014 Releases I Haven’t Read Yet

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/top ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I love lists, and I love weekly features, so yeah, I love these. This is such a great list for me! One of my main goals for 2015 is to shorten my TBR list by cutting down on ARCs until I’m caught up a little more. It’s why I signed up for challenges around freebies and TBR books. These will probably be some of the first books I knock out, because […]

My Mini-Bloggiesta To-Do List

I’m so excited for my first Bloggiesta! This one may be a mini-challenge, but with the amount of other stuff I have on my plate, I’m still going to be very busy. And not only is this my first Bloggiesta, I will also be hosting a challenge! Stay tuned for that post…I think it’ll be published on Friday (hint: it’ll be easy if you’re doing the Be a Better Blogger challenge this month). Now, it’s time to get my Bloggiesta on! Here’s what I need to do:

My January Be a Better Blogger Goals

Yesterday, I announced the first month’s challenge for Be a Better Blogger: improve your email marketing. What I didn’t announce were my own goals for the challenge, so here they are. I haven’t done much in terms of email marketing aside from adding new lists for different features like Bumblings Blog Tips and BookBlogWriMo. So here’s what I wanna do: Set up Zapier zaps to back up any lists that aren’t already being backed up. Update the designs so that things like share and follow buttons match the rest of my brand. Optimize the copy on my opt-in forms. Customize […]

Be a Better Blogger Challenge: Email Marketing

Happy New Year, everyone! Sorry I didn’t have this published this morning…that’s when these challenges will usually go up – early on the first of the month. Unfortunately, I’m visiting my boyfriend at his new apartment in NYC and he doesn’t have cable or internet yet. That also means my plans to start rewatching Friends on Netflix have been delayed. Not okay.) Between the cold weather and the lasting effects of New Year’s champagne, I just didn’t have it in me to go exploring the neighborhood for a place with free wifi and decent hot cocoa. The struggles of being […]

Top 10 Tuesday: My 2015 Resolutions

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/top ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I love lists, and I love weekly features, so yeah, I love these. I’m a big goal setter (please don’t ask me if I’m also a big goal achiever…). I’ve always loved making New Year’s resolutions, even if I drop them by January 31. But I think I’ve gotten better at actually sticking to plans I make…especially when it comes to this particular blog. So I’m feeling pretty optimistic about these […]
